知彼，也就是了解考題。我們這里說的了解考題，不僅是對考試的題型有所認識，了解評分標準，而是通過了解題目去分析和掌握英語口語表達的邏輯和語言習慣。很多考生難以開口說英語的很大原因就在于不知道怎么說是正確的，害怕出錯，所以羞于張口。所有語言都是相同的，口頭表達的底子每個人都有，詞匯的底子大都也是夠用的，我們所要知道的惡就是英語的表達和中文表達的不同之處即：
1. 中文的語言描述相對抽象，英文更注重細節(jié)的描寫。例如，中文說“電影院里很吵鬧”，英文就會表達成 “children are crying, old people are coughing and couples are whispering in the cinema.”
2. 句子和句子之間，中文多靠上下文的意思去聯(lián)系彼此之間的關(guān)系。英文則大都要使用邏輯連接詞。
3. 中文更傾向于含蓄的表達，有時為了說理有力，甚至用一個故事去引入要敘述的話題，而英文則習慣于單刀直入，開門見山。
